Business Membership Eligibility

If your business is in Washington state or it's affiliated with Boeing, it's eligible for BECU business membership.

Businesses in select counties of Oregon and Idaho or with an affiliation to BECU partners may also be eligible. For more information on specific eligible counties, affiliations, and partnerships, visit the business membership eligibility page. Please ensure your business is registered with the Washington, Oregon or Idaho Secretary of State or the Washington Department of Revenue.

I’m already a BECU member. What is the difference between my existing personal membership and a business membership?

A BECU business member has access to accounts and services tailored for business owners, including cash management account services, merchant services, business credit cards, payroll services 4 , commercial real estate loans, company vehicle & equipment loans, IOLTA checking for attorneys and more.

How long does it take to open a BECU Business Membership?

It will take approximately one hour to open a business membership in person or online through our video banking team, or approximately 30 minutes through our digital business membership application.

What if I don’t have a U.S. government issued ID or passport? Can I use a different ID?

If you need to open your business membership using a different form of ID, please call us at 800-704-8080 to verify if your form of ID is accepted.

Can I add additional applicants to the business account?

Yes. If your business has additional owners, authorized signers or agents/non-authorized agents that need to be added to the account, you will be prompted to add them during the application. Any additional person(s) will need to fill out the paper application, meet with a BECU Consultant and provide a qualified form of ID.

Can I open more than one business account?

Yes. If you would like to open additional business accounts, please visit a Neighborhood Financial Center location near you.

Once established, if needed, funds transfers will be made to the business checking account in $100 increments (or the unused portion of the available credit limit if less than $100).
