Graduation and Commencement are two related, yet distinctly different steps in your final journey at the University. You must apply to graduate in order to have your degree notated on your transcript and receive a diploma.
Students who are on schedule to be candidates for graduation in Summer may request to participate in commencement exercises in the preceding Spring (as an Early Walk) or the following Fall (as a Late Walk). In order to be considered to walk either early or late, students must submit the Request to Participate in Commencement Early/Late Form.
Students who are on schedule to be candidates for graduation in the Fall are expected to participate in the Fall Commencement Ceremony. Students who are on schedule to be candidates for graduation in the Spring are expected to participate in the Spring Commencement Ceremony.

May 9-10 Spring 2025 commencement ceremonies are scheduled on Friday, May 9, 2025 and Saturday, May 10, 2025.
