CM/ECF is the court's online case management and electronic case filing application. This tool enables participating attorneys and litigants to submit pleadings and corresponding documents electronically to the court and allows the court to file, maintain, and retrieve case file information. CM/ECF filing is required for attorneys.
A related service, PACER, (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) is an electronic public access service that allows users to research indices, individual case information, and reports from federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts.
The court's Case Opinions can be found in the United States Courts Opinions (USCOURTS) collection at the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). The content of this collection dates back to April 2004, though may be incomplete for the earlier time period.
Some of the court's MDL and Mass/Class Action Cases have independent web pages detailing specific information about each of these cases.
Guardianship of the record of courtroom proceedings is a key and historic responsibility of the court. Each court session and proceeding designated by statute, court rule, general order, or by order of an individual judge is recorded verbatim by stenotype or electronic sound recording equipment. Court Reporter Services & Transcripts describes how to contact a court reporter, order a transcript and provides details regarding realtime reporting.
An RSS Feed is available to track new filings in our CM/ECF system. There are various RSS readers that allow you to filter this feed to show you the new cases filed or other more narrow filtering criteria.
